Gendai Reiki Ho

This Japanese Reiki was brought to the West by Hiroshi Doi member of the Reiki Ryoho Gakkai, who has blended Eastern & Western approaches into his own school of Gendai Reiki Ho.

MIKAO USUI taught Reiki as a way of life for joy and balance in all aspects of being. Later under his student CHUJIRO HAYASHI, Reiki became known as the"method" of healing now called Usui Reiki Ryoho. Western schools of Reiki mostly stemming from HAWAYO TAKATA's work in the United States teach Usui Reiki Shiki in the Reiki Alliance tradition in which I first trained.

GENDAI REIKI HO TRAINING is offered on all levels up through Shinpiden (Master). As a Gendai Reiki Ho Shihan (Gokui Kaiden Level Master Teacher) it is my privilage to bring you this timeless, spiritually guided practice taught as closely as possible to the Japanese way, not as a blend of other forms of Western or Japanese Reiki.

HARMONY is a Reiki principle important to receiving the new vibrational frequencies introduced during Reiki training. The Japanese Reiki Techniques promote rapid energy field clearing and deep healing with special focus on the breath. Empowerments (attunements) are given when possible in the natural environment in conjunction with energy of Nature.

REIKI TRAINING with individualized attention to all questions and comments or taught privately allows for a more intensive, personalized experience, in- depth energy clearing and resolution of issues, and the opportunity for deep integration of the empowerments which is so essential. For this reason extra classes over time (not just one day) are allocated for Level II (Okuden) for thorough training in the meditation methods that are the core of authentic Japanese Reiki.

Dr. Settin has practiced Reiki for 10 years, has taught over 100 Reiki classes and has introduced hundreds of students around the world to Reiki. She has over 25 years of varied teaching experience and her training emphasizes thorough understanding of the material in a relaxed atmosphere where you can truly be yourself.

Reiki Master & Teacher Training- Select Gendai Reiki Ho or Usui-Tibetan Reiki.

GENDAI REIKI HO SHINPIDEN -"MYSTERY TEACHINGS" -MASTER & TEACHER LEVELS.

Dr. Settin teaches all the "Master" Levels of Gendai Reiki Ho, called Shinpiden (Level III)and Gokui Kaiden (Level IV) in Japan. This process is taught according to the Japanese apprenticeship tradition in which the teacher determines when the student is ready to move ahead through the different levels of the Master training. It is required that you have taken Level I & II Gendai Reiki Ho in order to move to the Master Levels.

REIJU - a form of Reiki blessing - is taught as a separate workshop at the end. Once you learn Reiju you "graduate" to the highest level of Gendai Reiki Ho.

There are no short-cuts to the Mystery Teachings in my view. So the fee for the so-called Master Levels reflects the many days of meetings over a longer period of time (at least six months) than is usual for Western Master training methods. I offer preparatory phone sessions and/or distant Reiki meditations and healings as an added benefit- but note that these do not replace the direct face to face empowerments and hands-on training in teate and meditation that is essential to learning Gendai Reiki Ho. Doi Sensei does not endorse distant training methods and neither do I - unless they are prior students of mine who I have previously attuned so that I have worked directly with their vibration.

Teaching the Master level of Gendai Reiki Ho is for me a serious commitment to you for your lifetime. This is not just any Master class. Learning Reiki this way is excellent for those who are branching out from Reiki Teacher training in other lineages/schools.

THE REIKI MANUAL you receive depends on the school. Currently, the Gendai Reiki Ho Manual is a compilation based upon original materials written by Hiroshi Doi Sensei, and his student Roberta Barnes - my teacher - with permission. Summer of 2010 will bring an all new Usui Reiki Ryoho Manual written by Dr. Settin, based upon Gendai Reiki Ho. Not many people teach this method in the United States, so it is important that your training accurately represents the authentic Japanese Reiki Techniques and empowerments as presented by Doi Sensei, not merely a combined or Westernized version of Japanese Reiki. For Usui-Tibetan Reiki you receive William Rand's Master Manual, and mine too.

USUI-TIBETAN ART/MASTER TEACHER training as taught by Avanti Healing Arts® is Usui Reiki Ryoho with Usui-Tibetan training methods. Dr. Settin was formerly an International Center for Reiki Training Licensed teacher for several years and taught the ICRT Master Class in its entirety many times for them---so you can be completely confident of the quality of the content and attunements in the Usui-Tibetan Reiki Teacher training you receive.

Usui-Tibetan Reiki Level I & II Training

Yes, Usui-Tibetan Reiki is still being taught in two consecutive days at Avanti Healing Arts® just as it was developed by William Lee Rand of the International Center for Reiki Training, who was Gianna's first Master Teacher. Her understanding of this school of Reiki is influenced by having taken Refuge in the Buddha 18 years ago, visiting Nepal twice, and studying Tibetan Ayruveda and other Eastern Taoist and Hindu meditation practices.

Gianna's background growing & working with herbs began with study at Avena Botanicals and branched out into her own Beech Ridge Botanicals in the woods of Northern Maine. Gardening the hard way, she created flourishing organic gardens out of woodland rock and clay soil in Zone 4. She makes non-commercial tinctures, salves, flower essences and herb vinegars for friends and family.

Reiki with Trees - Learn from the Old Ones. Designed to accompany Gianna's soon to be published book on Trees and the Planetary Spirit. Following a spiritual quest to the Pacific Northwest of the United States in 2007, she now offers this workshop about the Planetary Spirit, and a way to communicate with and learn the tree-medicinal-remedies offered by these "Old Ones."
